STANMORE MUSIC FESTIVAL FUNDRAISERS

We are thrilled to present the annual Stanmore Music Festival, a cherished dream of the late Richard Gill, an esteemed Australian musician and educator. In collaboration with Richard's wife Maureen, the Stanmore business community, and the Inner West Council, a dedicated team led by Simon Chapman has worked tirelessly to bring this celebration of music to our vibrant suburb.

The Salisbury Hotel proudly supports the Stanmore Music Festival. Join us from 6:30PM on Wednesday, 21st August and Friday, 18th October as we come together to raise vital funds, continuing Richard Gill's legacy and providing a platform for local bands to showcase their talent. Enjoy our huge raffle with prizes generously donated by local Stanmore businesses, multiple live acts and bands, all while savouring a delicious food special crafted for the occasion, with all proceeds supporting the Stanmore Music Festival.

Thanks to the steadfast support of the Inner West Council, Richard's vision has come to life. A not-for-profit association, in partnership with the Council and local volunteers, orchestrates this free festival, which debuted successfully in November 2019. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, our community rallied together, and the second Stanmore Music Festival returned triumphantly in 2022.

With essential funding from the Inner West Council for equipment and crowd management, and the invaluable contributions of performers and volunteers, the festival continues to flourish. Join us as we honour Richard Gill's legacy with a day filled with music, community spirit, and joyous celebration in the heart of Stanmore.
